• Note: Extreme care should be taken handling any vintage electronics, and common sense should dictate that substances that were used in manufacturing them may have been subsequently banned for production use can be harmful (lead, cadmium, pcbs, fluxes, etc.). I cannot, and will not, state that any vintage components I sell do or do not contain any harmful substances, and the use of any vintage component by anyone is at the user's sole discretion, and all precautionary measures are the responsibility of the user. Installation by a qualified technician is recommended to anyone who does not possess the expertise to handle the installation properly and safely. On a final note, these components already exist and are not likely to cause any safety or disposal issues when installed into a low voltage guitar circuit. The notion of not using them because of safety issues is unfounded, and responsible use is as environmentally correct, if not more so, as incineration and disbursement into the atmosphere or groundwater leaching due to aging landfill disposal.
